| The city centre of
BOLOGNA is quite centralized. Via dell'Indipendenza, one of Bologna's
main thoroughfares, leads into the centre. The two central squares of Piazza
Maggiore and Piazza del Nettuno are next to the churches of San Petronio
and San Domenico which houses the tomb of St. Dominic and works of Nicola
Piano and Michelangelo. Bologna's main art gallery, the Pinacoteca Nazional,
is located at the edge of the city's university district which houses Perugino's
Madonna in Glory and Raphael's Estasy of St. Cecilia. After sightseeing
