BIG SKY has three mountains which should please both snowboarders and skiers. The resort's signature peak, Lone Mountain rises to a towering 11,166 feet. If you the adventuresome type, you can take the Lone Peak Tram to the very top and admire the 3,600 acres and the awesome 4,350 foot vertical drop to the terrain below. Nearby Andesite Mountain has some the resort's most notable intermediate ski runs, some easier beginner trails and several expert tree runs. Flat Iron Mountain on the eastern shoulder of this mountain offers even more variety. In the draw between Andesite and Lone Mountains, you'll find Big Sky's designated snowshoe trail, Moose Tracks.
